Molly Gambardella (estadounidense, n. 1993) es una artista que trabaja principalmente en escultura e instalación. Está interesada en comprometerse críticamente con la interacción entre los sistemas sociales, políticos y biológicos como una forma de investigar cómo estas relaciones dan forma a las condiciones cambiantes de la vida. Ella interactúa e investiga una diversa gama de organismos autopoiéticos para cuestionar conceptos de comodidad y perturbar un mundo cada vez más artificial y culturalmente hegemónico. BIO
Molly Gambardella is an interdisciplinary artist based in Connecticut whose sculptural and installation-based practice investigates relationships between ecological systems, material culture, and public space.
Working across sculpture, installation, and site-responsive public art, she transforms repurposed and mass-produced materials into immersive works shaped by natural forces including light, wind, water, and time. Her installations are developed for botanical gardens, public spaces, museums, and cultural institutions.
Her work has been exhibited and commissioned nationally and internationally, including at VOLTA Basel with CAMP Gallery, Future Fair in New York, Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Wisconsin, New England Botanic Garden in Massachusetts, Boulder Public Library in Colorado, and through The ARK Project Artist Residency at Yellowstone National Park.
Her work is included in permanent collections at Yale University and Maison Courvoisier in France, as well as public and private collections internationally.
Gambardella has been featured in Sculpture Magazine, Forbes, WBUR, Suboart Magazine, Create Magazine, NPR, Architectural Digest and other publications.
She is currently an adjunct faculty member teaching studio art and digital fabrication in Connecticut.
