Shame Shield

Shame Shield is a sculptural study of protection, identity, and the body.
Constructed from thousands of individually placed colored pencil fragments arranged across a repurposed mannequin, the work transforms an object associated with display into a surface that feels simultaneously protective and vulnerable.
The repeated pencil points create a dense, armor-like skin that shifts between ornament, defense, and invitation, asking how lived experience becomes embedded within the body over time.
